DevOps and Network Automation

Devops is the term used now. I recently read some articles on Devops about verifying a net website and led me to investigate this topic. In this blog, I will hide what I have a limited domain name for DevOps Networking and the next series of blogs, we will try to explore specific areas in detail. Devops allows the infrastructure to manage both the code and the infrastructure. DevOps refers to the interaction between development and the role of activities and motivations to watch angular operators and network operators to view from the corner developer. As we all know, direct implementation of the infrastructure improves efficiency, removes the correct error and allows us to measure. The server equipment for some time and networking is still very advanced at the moment. Ivan's article in this article describes Devops as a way of life or a brainstorm on how to build a tool instead of a device related to Devops.

How does a website differ from a customer?

The server automation operation must be installed on the Apache server. For example, the network network provides the L2vpn service. The following two accounts Jeremy and David summarized some of the differences between the server and the automated web site. Below I present some key points that I see:
  •  The Toolkit has a lot about creating apps and creating scratches. Here, applications are often the level of equipment. Network equipment, their functionality and the initial configuration of the device are just a step, most of the activities that are engaged in providing reservation services and ensuring better service provision, which points to the provision of different devices simultaneously.
  • Most equipment still operate in a closed system, where equipment, control and management systems are strictly sealed. The latest car keys allow different aircraft, but they have a small percentage of the market. This means that fewer network applications are automaatics.
  • Different devices on the network have different planning systems. The CLI still uses the most convenient CLI tool for many problems. the latest security protocol, since Netconf has been resolved from some CLI-based issues and SNMP-related issues. The device is mainly based on Linux and its associated devices at the standard level.
  • The management of a website is closely related to activities, and their structure and systems require a different mind. This is explained on this page.

Why is the current web site automation called?

  • SDNs focus on supervisory, data and management plans.
  • Exposure to automatic devices. Some devices are now focused on automating the network, but still far away.
  •  Open open projects, such as Opendaylight on the site.

Mobile parts with examples.

1. Structure Structure: This is the largest part of the device-monitoring device. Some standard equipment in this section is fish, rabbit, congestion, CFS. Examples of the configuration management system include a new VLAN, the use of the QoS policy with a new class, the creation of a new L2VPN service, etc.,
2. Monitoring: A control server, there are tools like Newrelic that provide analysis of server applications and server performance. To find the web, there are tools like Opennnms, Nagios, Zabbix. Examples of network monitoring are security alerts when unauthorized access, performance monitoring, etc. are involved.
3. Implementation: This includes managing day-to-day life tools such as Jenkins, managing restrictions such as Git, supplying equipment such as Maven, Ant.

Data Encoding and Modeling :

Models are called a "schema". Describe the most popular popular language formats: Yang and XSD. XSD is based on XML. Yang is very easy to read according to XSD

Data formats are JSON, XML, YAML. The following link compares different code formats. Depending on the type of application, a particular encoding format can be more efficient and easier to analyze. In one of my previous blogs, I compared JSON and XML and how to analyze them.

Network automation tools.

The following article Networkworld compares the popular Devops tools. Some of these tools are also used in automating the network. In the next set of blogs, I'll look into these tools more closely.

Configuration options for Cisco devices

I found the following image in one of the Cisco blogs that describes the various options for configuring and automating Cisco NXOS devices. I find this interesting, because the same device can now be managed with different configurations and automation approaches. OnePK is the Cisco SDK for managing Cisco devices that use high-level API abstracts. In the next blog I will cover more details.

In the next series of blogs, I will cover the following topics. Most problems focus on Cisco devices, mainly because I have access to Cisco devices. Concepts also apply to other network devices.
  • Cisco UCS Automation using the Python SDK
  • Analysis of CLI Nexus Devices
  • Configuring Cisco with OnePK
  • Configuring Cisco with Netconf
  • Configuration templates for network devices using Jinja2 and YAML
  • Possible to automate the network.

In the reference section, I used to rely heavily on blogs, and I also tested part of my source code. Thanks to bloggers. It seems that there are many new things happening in the automation space of the network and I am very excited about this ..
